How come part time warehouse positions requires warehouse experience?

I've been interested in working at a warehouse job but all warehouse positions I find always requires warehouse experience and sometimes knowledge of machinery. Im just curious as to how people even gain warehouse experience when all the warehouse positions i find always requires experience.
And I've been searching for a job for say almost a year now.

It isn't a usual requirement but in this job market there are too many experienced people looking for jobs and companies prefer the experience.

Check the criteria when applying for jobs. However, if you do not possess the required experience, state that in your CV that you are willing to learn and is a fast learner. This allows the interviewer to decide if you should be invited for an interview. Be realistic with you salary request when asked.
