Long story short my sand paper is either waaaay too gritty or just waaaay too fine. Is it possible to rub them together to create a better grit alternative or will the grit simply vanish??
you can find so many grits… you could have an 80 grit and a 220 grit… just find a 120 grit… that's in between..
i've found that if you use a combination of glue, 9 year old motor oil, and some cat fur, that usually does the trick. if that doesn't work, take the paper in to your local grocery store—be sure to talk with the frozen foods section. they should be able to help you out.
Considering the wide variety/types of paper and number of available grits; I suggest you go shopping and find the RIGHT type and grit for the job
You would end up with two unusable pieces of sandpaper. Go get the right grit. It's not expensive…
well…. the lower the # on the back of sand paper is rougher, the higher the # the finer the paper gets.SO,,,,the answer is NO
