Description Program Associate, Evaluation Reports to: Evaluation Manager Location: 39 Broadway -Lower Manhattan Office

The purpose of this position is to assist with program evaluation activities, including development of evaluation methodology, data collection tools, primary data collection, data analysis, reporting and database management.

Responsibilities: • Coordinate and/or execute evaluation activities as assigned, including literature reviews, data collection, data entry, data analysis, and reporting.

• assist in the development of evaluation methodology and data collection tools.

• Coordinate evaluation activities with external evaluators as needed.

• Maintain program databases, monitor database performance, carry out regular maintenance and troubleshooting, and coordinate with contractors to develop necessary enhancements and ensure database functions to expectations.

• Train staff on database use and supervise data entry to ensure accuracy and security of program data.

• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 2 years experience with database management, data collection, research and/or program evaluation required.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access and other MS Office applications.

• Proficiency with statistical software such as SPSS.

• Project management experience a plus.

• interest and familiarity with food poverty and nutrition policy a plus.

• Ideal candidate will be a quick, adaptable and reliable team player who handles pressure well. She/he will be flexible, organized, efficient and deadline-focused and possess a collegial and professional manner and outlook.

Preferred: • Fluency in Spanish and/or other languages a plus.

Nearly all database venders support web integration in thier Databases so you can use any that suits you, while Oracle will be a wiser dicision that is to have wider support and high number of experts available, while MS Sql server could also be tried as its express version is free of charge, Oracle also has launched expess edition of their database which also free.

DBs get consumed through scripting languages like asp, or perl, you creat and ODBC connection then open it with a web script… they dont really RUN on the web site

the stand alone. usually, unless yer using access .mdb file

so go for SQL server, theres a 90 day trial
