I was going through some old baby clothes a few months ago and I stumbled across a terrible outfit I’d received as a baby gift for my first son. at first glance it was almost sort of cute, but the more you looked at it, the worse it got. first of all, it was pure white with a bit of blue piping, the sort of thing that gets soiled beyond repair about 0.0001 seconds after you wrestle your baby into it. Not only that, it had about 3,915 buttons, which created a perfect combination of being both hellishly difficult to deal with AND providing a vast army of choking hazards. Finally, it had this goofy collar that not only seemed scratchy and uncomfortable, but possessed the eerie power to transform any adorable infant into a total baby dorkface.Revisiting this outfit got me thinking about how in the midst of all the painfully cute onesies and beautiful heirloom blankets that are available out there, there are still plenty of spectacularly putrid baby fashions. For instance:
Baby high heels, specifically for infants size 0-6 months. Look, I don’t want to judge if you enjoy dressing up your child up in these novelty crib shoes, but, uhhhhh, are you INSANE? I mean, I’m sure it’s all in good fun and all but … yeah, I think you are probably insane.
Ditto with the insanity verdict to anyone who plugs these godawful novelty pacifiers in their baby’s mouth. My evil coworker gave me one of these when my first son was born, which was a pretty good indicator of just how special our working relationship was.
“My first bikini” for the toddler crowd. Yes, every little baby girl needs her own string bikini! Which, by the way, is too small to cover a diaper! CLEANUP ON AISLE OH MY GOD WHAT IS YOUR KID WEARING.
I don’t know if you can technically call this a fashion accessory, but what is wrong with the world that a perfume for babies even exists? “Just spray a bit of the fragrance on baby’s hair brush or on baby’s clothes to make baby smell lovely and special”? Right, let’s cover up that godawful baby-head smell, which every mother secretly detests.
Finally, the biggest offender, if only for this unbelievable commercial.
Huggies, not only did you make diapers that look like jorts, but you marketed them with a weird ad that features women who are apparently sexually attracted to a BABY, while a sleazy Euro-voiceover seems to be saying, “My diaper is full … full of shit.” you win for worst baby fashion fail of all time. Are you with me on these awful baby fashion trends? did I miss anything?

Okay, im 14 now (turning 15 soon) and i have had recurring mouth ulcers for more than two years. i will get them every single month two-five at a time. i get them on my tongue and all over my mouth but i have never had any kind of cold sore or sore outside of my mouth they have always been inside.
when its really bad, ill have from 7-10 in my mouth and the doctor and orthodontist told me they are common and probably from a virus or stress related. well, then i got a vaginal ulcer. It was so painful and scary because i had no idea how i could get one there, i'm a virgin and haven't had any kind of oral sex or anything basically so i went to my doctors office and got his assistant to look at it and she and him agreed that it couldn't be any kind of herpes or std because i am a virgin and they said it was probably something called apthous ulcers..? i think that was causing all of this.
but they sent me to a pediatric gyno anyways who swabbed it and tested it. they didnt know what caused it but they didnt think it could be anything serious. test results came back from the swab and my gyno found two different stomach infections i was having and put me on medicine for them. So, i was taking two medications to fight off infections (one that gave me a nasty rash too) but still i got sick with fever and sore throat. i get sore throat/fever all the time but i never throw up usually. still my mom was worried and took me to the doctor. they were confused and didnt know how it was possible that i got sick because i was taking medication for infections. (i guess is was viral? i didn't really understand) they said i had some "mapping" on my tongue (my tongue was white and nasty looking) but i always get that when i have a sore throat. so they sent me to childrens hospital to get blood taken for testing.
a week later, my doctor called saying my numbers were "off" and so they sent me to the infectious disease clinic in childrens hospital. this past week i went there and had to tell them about my ulcers and normal questions they had about my period and my vaginal ulcers (i had gotten another one in the same place after the first one went away) i had one of my ulcers that was popping up in my mouth swabbed and got more blood taken. they havent called back with the results yet
sorry this is so long i just really want help and wanted to explain everything. the only symptoms i have now is that i am very tired and i get dizzy when i stand up (this has been happening for a long time) i get recurring ulcers andd thats about it. the doctors at the infectious disease clinic were asking me about something with my bowels acting up and they do act up sometimes but not like all the time so i didn't really have anything to say about it.
i've been reading online and i'm guessing it is just the common apthous ulcers i just wanted someone else to confirm or share anything else that could be causing this
& yes i do drink a lot of soda, but i cut it out completely at one point (& other acids)and still got them. i dont drink as much as i used to.
& yes i do have braces, but i had been getting the ulcers before i had gotten my braces and i dont know how they could've rubbed up against my mouth this much and my orthodontist told me that the braces weren't the problem..& im getting them off soon.
so thats all i have to say. and please answer this i know its not really a big deal i just want to know whats wrong
Okay you don't have your emails on I would prefer to email you since I don't know the answer but since you have no answer yet I have an idea for you (if you edit saying you've saw this i'll delete it so it says your question is still unanswered and might catch people's attention..)
I am guessing that you have basically an autoimmune problem, if you look up those ulcers it should mention something called Chron's disease, which is diagnosed with a blood test. Coeliac disease too which is also diagnosed with a blood test, and people with these usually have stomach problems including that they get stomach infections. So it could be that.
Sounds like a big deal to me sounds horrible.
The fever, and the ulcers too actually…could be related to your hormones esepecially as it happens once a month. They are rarer PMS symptoms. you can google that. I am not sure how many blisters women can get from PMS if it is a just a few or can be as bad as yours. Nor do I know if you can get them on the vagina so you'd need to look that up yourself.
You can also get herpes without sex or coldsores (you can get it from family) the only way to rule it out really is to be tested. you can also have the virus in you and spread it without any outbreaks. you can also have touched one of your mouth ulcers and then touched down below and spread it down there yourself. If the outbreaks are so often it was probably bound to happen since girls need to touch down there more than you'd think. If you touch your ulcers wash your hands afterwards or preferably don't touch them at all.
Maybe one of your stomach infections is Helicobacter Pylori, you have to be on more than 1 medication for that, and when it kills it off you might feel sicker at first, also antibiotics can be quite harsh on people and make them ill. just an idea. Do a quick edit and I'll delete this. you can paste the text into a blank email and save it to your drafts if you want to remember/ look up the things I mentioned.
Don't worry about soda. If you are wondering what's going on please ask your doctors or get your mum to ask for the names of what you have or are being tested for. you have the right to be informed (but I wouldn't tell them you're googling it all lol)
If it was celiac disease they will tell you certain foods you can't eat (a gluten free diet).

If money were not the issue, do you like this boutique boy look? my SIL dresses her boy in these clothes and her DH (my BIL) and I were talking that it looks effeminate. She's always choosing these gingham and smocked things for him from this site. I guess it looks cute on the page but IRL it does really look, well, not boy-ish at all. just wondering if you know anyone or if you dress your boy this way? or would you if you could?

I would and I have. Babies are babies, boy or girls, I HATE having little baby boys dressed up in dark clothes, heavy boots and stupid industrial clothes – they're babies not blue collar workers.
BTW, the boys who were dressed in this manner are really boy's boys, more boys then most, how you dress them does not dictate who they are or how they will be. I stop dressing them in that manner then they start wanting to get really dirty – and are capable of doing so. When doing laundry is a problem due to the fabric choice, both boys AND girls should be dressed practically and utilitarian so that the children can play as children should (mud pies and all).
Yeah we have but not often. my mother bought my son almost the exactly an outfit like the first one but in blue and my daughter the matching dress. We took proffessional pics in them and sent them to her.
Also my wife bought several things like this from ebay

and put him in it all the tim. I hated it and said he looked like a paintings of boys in the 17th century. I made fun of her and told her how girly it was especially the peter pan collar. As it was my son has long eyelashes and at the time his hair was very curly and people thought he was a girl all the time. she finally stopped getting her
Well I think they are cute outfits, but no really my style… and there is absolutely no way I would buy a 60 dollar outfit for my baby who will grow out of it in a month, but to each her own. Clothes don't dictate how your child will act… if she can afford to and she likes them, so be it!
No I wouldn't. I actually thought the first one was a girls outfit at first. the second is just not practical. what baby wants to wear a collared shirt? Babies should be in comfortable clothing…not dressed up like pretty kids unless its a special occasion in which I've seen way cuter outfits for way better prices.
The second one is okay.
My friends have boys and they dress them like that for church and pictures – knee socks and white booties. the oldest one is 4 and I noticed she is kind of backing off and having him in more 'normal' clothes.
They are cute, but not at all my personal style choice. that is ridiculously expensive though. Cheap or expensive I wouldn't choose to buy it. If someone bought it for me I'd have them wear it sometimes though. I don't hate it, just not my thing.
The outfits are cute, and perfect for a baby boy. you know, I just don't understand why you want to go there – it's none of your business. does it make you feel better saying she dresses her boy like a girl?
The first one is just plain ugly but i see nothing wrong with the blue one other than the price, buying it would be stupid. some little kid clothes ARE in fact worth the $$$, but not what you linked
I've always liked the english smocking look (think John junior as a little boy) and my boys had a couple of things like that when they were little but yeah, way too expensive.
I guess its acceptable to dress a baby boy in that, but I would definitely stop by 12 months. and I would NEVER EVER pay 60 bucks for those outfits!
Yeah no… not because of the clothes just the cost. So not worth the money since they will grow out of it so fast and probably spill food or juice all over it.
No way in hell. even if it was a reasonable price.
No way! I have always dressed my son very much like a boy. I wouldn't put him in anything that didn't look all out boyish.
No…
1) my boys have penises not vaginas
2) I have better things to spend money on
