and also, videos… I may get a second mp3 player soon (one that plays videos)…
note that I am not asking for a site that you can download the stuff free… I prefer to do things the legal way, thank you!
and what I use isn't an ipod, so itunes is a no-go… I use creative labs Zen V… and if I get the video mp3 player, it wil most definitly also be a creative labs product… (I've had super good luck with them)

It is legal. For $1 a month you can download, but not burn or put on mp3 players. For $15 a month you can put them on your mp3 player.
IMPORTANT: Look on their website to make sure you get a compatible mp3 player!! they range from cheap to expensive. Some for everyone!!
Try Songbird. It has a built in search function that automatically highlights any songs on a webpage and allows you to download them. together with Skreemr.com you can find lots of music that way.
Also Amazon MP3 has a downloader that lets you save to a specific folder. This could work for your portable digital music player.
You need to try out MP3Lingo.com. It is a fairly new service but they are getting really popular. they offer unlimited music downloads for only $2 a month (I don't know how they do it!) and they are 100% legal. I've been with them for some time and they have all the songs I need and their download speeds are fast. Check them out at mp3lingo.com when you get a chance.
Actually, the sites MusicGama and Skreemr are free, and legal. They're just basically MP3 search engines for all over the net. Search engines aren't illegal!
