I've got a Mac, and I'm considering selling ebooks from a blog/website with PayPal as the payment processor. Should I invest in an ebook maker like adobe 9.0 or can I just create the ebook in microsoft word, save it as a PDF and make it available for download. Do I need an ebook reader on my website? Does it require an FTP device? How would I do that?
Well when you can get open source softwares to create PDF file then why to invest in getting adobe ebook maker. Sometime you don't get much definition in the pdf when you use open source soft'es…but then difference is negligible.
People want to just read

Why ebook reader for website?? Just give download option.
FTP will be nice but don't forget to make it secure as you're selling pdf's
