I am installing something with 3M VHB (very high bond) adhesive tape. in a normal, dry application, this will require that the item is installed correctly the first time. That is difficult because it curves. when I set it down, I need to have the ability to move it so it aligns perfectly. will having a solution of soap and water on the surface help? this will allow me to slide it around to attain a perfect alignment. will this affect the integrity of the tape adhesive?

This guy has sculptures made of what looks to be packing tape, but how would you sculpt with tape like that without having any internal frame? does he make a frame that he somehow removes (like a balloon like frame that he pops and removes), or does he just shape it?
What do you guys think?

it looks as if the tape is dipped in sylicone that has been liquified & then formed into shapes then let harden. that's the only thing i can think of
Masking tape and clear tape can be used as construction materials for sculpture. I think that they are slick, witty, and high imaginative. Good stuff.
