After splitting the team’s first two games of the 2011/12 OHL Season on the road this past weekend, the Saginaw Spirit are ready to open the doors at the Dow Event Center for their 10th Anniversary Season. the Spirit will kick off year ten in style with a number of promotional initiatives include a pregame party both Friday, September 30 when they host the Kitchener Rangers at 7:11 and one night later when the Ottawa 67′s are in town. Doors will open at the Bud Light Blue Line Club at 5:30 and the celebration will go until the start of each game at 7:11. the event will feature $1dollar hot dogs and $1 dollar beers for fans 21 years of age and older both nights. Honesty Elliott and the Liars will provide the entertainment on Friday night while the Saginaw High Marching Band will be performing on Saturday night.

The Spirit will also be unveiling a 10th Anniversary Season commemorative year book on opening weekend. the cost for the keepsake will be 4 dollars, and with each purchase fans will receive a voucher for a future select Saginaw Spirit home game ,a $15 value. the Bud Light Blue Line Club has also been recently outfitted with a new HD Quality projectors that will display sporting events on 20′ screens.  this weekend, we plan on showing the Detroit Tigers Playoff games as well as NCAA football and Red Wing Hockey pre-season games. Plan on joining us all season long in the Bud Light Blue Line Club to watch your favorite sports team before, during intermissions and after Spirit home games.

Home Opening Weekend will culminate during Saturday night’s pre-game with the banner raising ceremony acknowledging the Spirit’s first ever OHL West Division Title. Immediately following Saturday’s game an outdoor fireworks display brought to you by the Freeland Sports Zone and the Dow Chemical Company will light up the sky in the area surrounding the Dow Event Center at approximately 9:45 p.m.

I just got a cheapy projector to watch movies on my wall — the picture is great, but the sound is barely audible over the projector's fan, even when turned up all the way. is there a way I can hook up seperate speakers, specifically with it's own volume control? the DVD player and projector connects with a regular red/white/yellow 3 prong cord.

do you have a shelf stereo of some kind? a lot of them have inputs in the back, just hook the white/red into the back, and there should be a 'aux' or 'game' button on the front

yes, only plug in the yellow into the projector and the red and white to a receiver and then connect your receiver to your speakers

is there any where you can rent an overhead projector? i looked at rent a centers web site but i did not find any. i want to rent an overhead projectors that plugs in to an outlet and projects an image, not the one that plugs in to a computer.

A teaching/educational store. they rent them out.

Also, try the library. Sometimes if they are not using theirs, you can borrow it, or leave a deposit until you bring it back. Good luck.

Check in your Yellow Pages under Audio-Visual. nearly every city of any size has at least one company that rents such equipment on a day by day basis.

If you can't find any in the Yellow Pages, check with any major hotel in your town and ask them who they use. Conventions and meetings always need such equipment.
