I don't want random sites, or sites with a bunch of further steps, just looking for a simple mirror for this driver. It is clearly an older adapter, and we need the software for it since our hard drive crashed.
Here is a link to WN121, I don't see where Netgear has an WG

if i a buy a Netgear N600 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router and a Netgear GS108 8 Port Gigabit Ethernet Desktop Switch will these work? the N600 is the router and the gs108 is the modem, am i correct? please tell me if these two will be compatible. thank you
Based on what you said it seems that GS108 giga ethernet is just a switch/hub. Modem is the one being installed by your provider for you to have internet access. you can interconnect these wireless giga router and the ethernet switch. this will give you internet access both wireless and wired…modem>wireless router>ethernet switch>computers, this is the connection. actually, you don't need to buy ethernet switch because wireless router normally has 4 ports of ethernet. If you need more than 4 ports then that's the time you need to buy additional ethernet switch/…

i have got a new laptop and i tried to connect it to the internet (wireless) but it won't work it is asking for a pass phrase or a security key! when i have put them in it never connects and i it does it has a bad connection and i still carn't get on the internet? please help
Unplug the power cord to reboot it and unscrew the coax cable. Leave it undone for 2 mins. Screw the coax cable in FIRST then plug the power back in and make sure the lights come back on first. If that doesn't work call your internet provider! There might be a signal issue.
He's not even getting a wireless connection.
If you right click on the wireless icon on the task bar on the right hand and choose view wireless networks do you see the network? what exactly do you mean by bad connection?
There are numerous reasons why you can't get online
1. make sure you are typing the right pass-phrase or security key – they can be found at the back of your router
2. make sure your firewall is not preventing you from getting online.
3. You might need to configure your DCHP which stands for dynamic host configuration protocol, this will enable your computer to acquire automatic IP address everytime you try to get online.
Finally you should make sure you are following the instruction of manual documentation that came with your Netgear router. For example some router manufacturer prefer you to plug in your ethernet cable, broadband cable before powering the router while others suggest otherwise. try and be patient and you shall overcome.

I am looking for a new wireless router and am wondering what I should go with. I'm considering the Linksys WRT 54g or the Netgear WGR 614. Reliabilty is the main thing I'm looking for (not having to reset every couple hours). Speed is important, but I don't need blazing speeds as there will only usually be one device online at a time. Range is not a big factor, I don't need more than 50 feet.
I also play Xbox Live on it a lot….
…or should I look at another router?
What are some of your experiences with wireless routers?
My linksys is great one day and crap the next. It just randomly turns off a couple times a week. go with the Netgear.
It is a little over kill but I would recommend a netgear WPN824. They are great.
Linskeys is better and much faster
The key here is using the xbox live – so I take it you want to hook the xbox live to the wireless router – you are going to need a bridge – I have had booth good luck and bad with the wrt54g – however; I have found that if you flash the microcode with DD-WRTsoftware you can configure the wireless router as a bridge. after 3 years my orginal wireless failed on the port used to connect to the internet – making the hardware useless for me.
the en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DD-WRT website has a bit more info. they also talk about what routers are the fastest or cheapest.
I ended up buying two WRT-54l (linux) routers – one to hook to xbox and the other as a dhcp router for the rest of my wired lan. Any time I think I have real problems with linksys routers – I remember the time and money issues with using bridge hardware from microsoft and linksys. the wrt-54 is cheaper, seems faster, and works better after I flashed the microcode.
For gamming wired might be the only way to reduce lag and they do sell 50' cat 5 cable.
