Bell says up to demarc point all OK, no service disruption from ISP. I tried two modems, both worked before but not anymore…HELP
if your ISP is your local phone company, get them to come out to your house and split the incoming lines separating telephone use and internet feed. solved the same problem at my house.

Because I have dsl from the phone company, I assume that I can hook up anywhere I have a live jack. True?
If true, can I use one modem in the family room and another modem in the kids "homework" room?
Thanks.
The problem could be with your wireless router, try investing in an "N" or "N++" specification router.
Why not just buy a router? all you will need is 1 router and that router will transmit a wifi signal all over your house.
If your both trying to go on at the same time your going to need a router I recommend looking into this router it allows you to connect 4 Ethernet connections or 16 users via wifi, Its capabilities are the ability to access the internet by cable, dsl, mobile usb card, and mobile express card. You can also combine connections to deliver a faster output. Click on the link if you want to read more info about this router.

call and have them re-set the connection.
then get an apple airport express. it sends our signal to eleven computers throughout the house.
Even to the patio.
good luck
Unfortunately you can't do that. One thing that made a huge difference for me was to use a wireless phone that used Dect 6 technology. I was using those wireless land phones (uniden) that don't need to have the additional hand sets connected to a phone jack. the other thing to look into is a stronger antenna for your wireless router.
I had the same problem. no you can not have two modems if you are in Australia. They have a specific code and the phone company does not allow more than one for each street address. If you are in Australia, check the frequency of your cordless phone. If it is 2.4GHz then you need to change your phone or hard wire your internet connection. 2.4GHz is the frequency that Australian internet providers use for their wireless networks, so your landline phone is interfering with the wireless internet connection. Frustrating I know, but hard wiring was my solution, it cost me over $700, but works fine now in 4 different rooms.
Hope that helps
NO because if you'll be using modems in different jacks simultaneously, your DSL connection will experience "no SYNC" or Modem not in sync. the Light Labeled DSL on your modem will be blinking, indicating the modems are not getting a good connection to the network, so its not advisable to use several modem inside your house. Use router instead to provide wireless connectivity then use a wireless booster

I`m having a weird problem with my adsl line.it works fine when I`m not on the phone.the minute I receive a call the connection(ADSL) will be lost. I only get reconnected when I change filters.I have about five filters that I recycle through. I have the ADSL nation XF 1e, Fujitsu excelsior FDX100-UK filters.BT came to check the line and found no problem with it. However, I could sometimes hear the modem dialling out on the phone line. I really do not know what else to do. any suggestions will be appreciated.
You should contact your ISP. there should be no interruptions whatsoever to your Internet connection when you receive a phone call.
They installed the line, right? they will come to your home (or wherever) and check/repair the problem.

I am going to be installing DSL in my home. I don't have any phone jacks to spare for connecting the modem, so I am going to be using a splitter so I can have both the phone and the modem connected. My question is how to I go about installing the DSL filter on this phone jack? do I just put it on the plug that the phone connects to on the splitter? I am sorry if this seems like a stupid question. I have never done this before and I can't seem to find the answer any where else. thank you.
yep thats pretty much how ya do it… if you need any help you should be able to contact your customer service and they'll walk you through it all till its done.. but then again you have some middle eastern person. barely speaking english on the phone (at times can get annoying).. the filter should be labeled as well, one opening saying DSL and other land-line(thats your phone)… if you need any help or have questions contact toys__hubby … just do a profile search for him above here and email him, tell him TOY sent ya
he'll help ya out .. GOOD LUCK
yup. just plug the splitter into your phone jack. that's all

HIS name has long been synonymous with abuse, asterisks and four-letter words, but Gordon Ramsay has had a dramatic change of heart on swearing. in a move that will have diners choking on their oven-roasted Bresse pigeon, he plans to ban foul language in all his restaurants, whether in the kitchens or the dining areas.
Assistant chefs and waiters will face disciplinary oneon- one “exercise” sessions with Ramsay, and diners will be fined £5 (€6.30), for any outbreak of effing, blinding or c-word in public. four years ago, Ramsay installed closed-circuit TV in all his UK restaurants to improve waiter service, and it has even been suggested that he has had sensitive microphones installed in his tables, to pick up sotto voce cursing. the reason for this dramatic turnaround is not hard to find. It follows the crushing news that Ramsay’s application to open a new establishment in Sydney has been turned down by the city authorities, on grounds of “decency”.
“we are not prudes, God knows,” said Senator Drew Stockman (61) “and we have no problem with vigorous language, where appropriate.
but we feel that allowing this sweary fellow to bring his bilious obscenities to Sydney’s Harbourfront is a step in the wrong direction.
Australia is changing. the old stereotypes have been supplanted by a new sophistication and dignity. and frankly, Gordon Ramsay has no part of it. the only Ramsay we want around here is the street in Neighbours.”
A spokseman for the chef said: “There’s a new, mature, more approachable Gordon Ramsay inside him that the world hasn’t yet seen, and it’s one that won’t go around turning the air blue all the time.”

Hi
I would like to know if I can connect my Nintendo Wii to the internet using my o2 mobile broadband modem? If it's possible please post, I will really appreciate it.
Yes. You should have also received a O2 Wireless box with your modem. Hook that up and then goto your Wii's wifi settings to connect.
Here's step by step instructions:

Yes you can via WIFI to do this, you will have to search for your modem and enter the pass code which is under the modem.
