I have to go to work please help me at least with one question;it will help me, thank you.

Case study: Complaint: 22-year-old man was in a motorcycle accident with resultant neck injuries that led to partial paralysis of the upper and lower limbs. almost immediately his chest felt heavy and he became dyspneic. His pulmonary function values were as follows: Vital capacity (supine): 650 mL Minute ventilation (supine): 6 L/min Respiratory rate (supine): 30 b/min PaO2 : 61 mm Hg PaCO2 : 47 mm Hg questions:

1.what are the values for the tidal volume (TV) and the alveolar ventilation (AV) for this individual? (Assume a normal value for dead space.) Compare with normal. a. Tidal volume = b. Alveolar ventilation =

2. what is contributing to the decreased alveolar ventilation?
3.which nerves and muscles are involved in this problem?

4. how is the residual volume affected?

Questions about possible revolving Upper Respiratory Infection?

OK – after doing some "googling" – if seem that if my cat has caught this, I cannot reverse it and should quarantine him. after reading be low, form a previous question, can you tell me please, if I can put the 1st cat who is on day 9 of 10 day antibiotics, together with the cat with the "new" infection? If I don, will it bounce back to the first cat? Don't have a lot of doors to close in my place – fairly open concept.

What a roller-coaster in the last 2 weeks! we have 3 resident, healthy, fixed cats. Agreed to Foster a pregnant cat – brought her home from the Humane Society and she had contracted an URI in the 16 hrs she'd been in there (unbeknownst to us at the time).
URI got severe, severely dehydrated, kittens caught it and all of them passed. we have had the Queen in a separate room for the whole two weeks, ALWAYS used hand sanitizer when leaving the room, imediately followed by hand washing, separate over-shirt for feeding kittens as Queen wasn't lactating and on it goes.

One of our 3 cats snuck into the room behing us one day about 4 days ago. he stopped short as he was surprised to see kittens in there, and we got him out right away – only in there for about 5 seconds. BUT now he is sneezing. Started yesterday with a sneeze here and there, now he is sneezing more often – no runny nose yet, but OMG! we didn't sign up for this many challenges! Queen is still here, on antibiotics, but still remains in separate room.

I am soooo afraid that our Tiger has gotten this. Not only do I not want him to get sick, I don't need the other 2 getting it! the vet we took the Queen to twice is a few minutes down the road, but our regular vet is a 30 minute drive away, and so on.

Is there ANYTHING that I can do to stop this in it's tracks? am I going to have to keep Tiger in another separate room for 2 weeks??? can I put both cats together without it continually bouncing back and forth between them?? what an….adventure! Any suggestions are very welcome! thank you!
