I went in because I was throwing up blood which subsided when they started giving me nausea meds every 2 hrs. by IV but they drew blood and admitted me because of my blood levels being so low. I begged to go home for Thanksgiving and my doctor let me although they hadn't returned to normal yet. I was getting potassium by IV and iron by mouth and the levels would come up and then drop again before my next dose. I was basically a pin cushion cause they had to keep drawing my blood. I had an ultrasound done and the baby is ok, the placenta is ok, they did an EGD under anesthesia and that came out ok with a diagnosis of moderate gastritis but they still don't know what is causing my levels to drop. I'm scared cause now I'm at home and I don't know what's wrong. Also my blood pressure was at 80/35, 90/40 and stayed in that range. When I left the hospital it was 85/52. if anyone has been through this or knows anything please tell me, I see my doctor next week for more blood tests.
For you and your unborn childs sake you should have made a better decison and stayed in the hospital how will you know if your childs heart rate is dropping or not i suggest that you get a new kind of doctor what kind of physician lets you leave the hospital in that kind of condition….
