Anyone who can help me out for mouse problem in my computer?

Most of the time when I boot up my computer, my mouse does not work. Therefore, I either have to shut it down, or put it to stand-by for some time or hybernate it for a while.

Sometimes it takes me several boot ups or taking computer out from either stand-by or hybernation.

Can someone help me correcting the problem?

Thanks in advance

Borrow a nice working mouse from your friends to try it out.
If it's working fine, buy and replace your mouse with a new one. besides, mouse are very cheap (there are expensive ones though)…

Incase the problem persist, you might be having a different type of problem (not the mouse) related to hardware/software?

Hi there Habib!

Is your mouse a ps2 or usb?

How old is your laptop/desktop?

I know sometimes USB tends to have a problem in the bios, where yiou have to enable some extra featuers in it. like USB 2 support or extra power settings for USB.
:-(

Could u update with more info on your specs plz?

regards

W

Sounds t me like a problem with your mouse, Im assuming yur ouse plugs into a usb port? if so try something else plugged in there to rule out a problem with that port. If its ok it must be the mouse itself.

You're not giving us enough information. Is it a cordless mouse? it may not be charged. If it is a wired mouse then it may be due to a broken wire which will cause an intermittent fault. You may want to invest in a new mouse.

Can you plug a dell flat screen video monitor directly into a dell laptop or do you need a docking station>?

I want to purchase a large flat screen monitor for my Dell laptop – can I just buy one or is it a complicated process where I need to add a docking station or some special technology?

Every dell laptop i've ever seen (and I've seen a lot of them) has a place to plug in a monitor. once you hook it up just hit function f8 until it's displaying on the monitor. you can also plug in a usb keyboard and mouse. about the only advantage in a docking station is you can grab the laptop and run with it when you want to take it somewhere, instead of unscrewing a bunch of cables.
