Vocal Microphone for Computer?

Does anyone know of a good microphone that can be hooked up to my computer to record vocals? I'm looking for something that is good, but at the same time won't break the bank!

I'd get something like a SURE SM58 (the industry standard vocal mic — it's like $85) and an XLR (the three pronged thing coming out of the mic) to mini plug (what goes into your computer or sound card) adapter.

Is there a difference between a recording and live microphone?

I recently just got involved a lot with recording. I started a industrial band and I have been using my machine more. my microphone sounds great when I'm playing with my punk band but for recording it is'nt all that great. on the guitar center website it is under the live section but they have a whole other section with recording mics. I would like to know is there a difference between the two, what the difference is, and what are some good, low-cost recording microphones.

QUESTION ONE: well, here we are post-E3, and I don’t think I’d be exaggerating to say the biggest announcement at the show was the reveal of the Wii U, which will be the successor to the Wii and is expected to be released in 2012. The major feature of the console seems to be the controller, which contains a 6-inch HD video screen capable of playing games by itself. The console will also be, allegedly, fully compatible with the Wiimote and contain full motion control capabilities. it also appears that it will be retailing for more than the Wii did at release. I did plan to make fun of the name, but I guess when you dominated the last generation with the Wii, you can call your next console whatever you want. what are your early impressions of Nintendo’s next console?
