I want to improve at basketball?

I am 14 years old and me and my mates from school are going to start a local basketball team (we don't have a coach at the moment) and I was wondering if anyone had some drills and things we could do to improve, we need all drills (fitness, dribbling.. etc..)

Thanks

Want to play Lacross but have no experience.?

Hey, I just turned 15 in June and am going into my freshman year of high school. I checked the high school's lacross practice in the winter when I was registering for some stuff at the high school. it looked fun and seems like I would like it. So I have been thinking ever since about playing it. But I have no experience. do I need it? I have played basketball, soccer, baseball, 1 year of football, and 1 year of ice less hockey would I just make a fool out of myself going for the team? I'm not sure when the tryouts are. I think they are in the spring but they start practicing in the winter indoors… is this a sport you can start in high school? or do you have to have experience going into the sport in high school? also, how hard is the sport? are the coaches usually really tough and make you do hard drills, run, etc.? That wouldn't stop me, just wanting to know what to expect.

Lacrosse is VERY rough, but it can be a lot of fun! :)
but its not hard if you practice a lot.
the coaches that i had made us run a lot and do a lot of drills, we did a lot of contact drills so we weren't afraid to run into each other and other competitors. :)
hope this helps!! :)

good luck! high school is great, and sports just make it that much better. enjoy it while you can! :)

okay man first of all lacrosse is very rough so you sorta need that sort of mentality, second of all my high school started a team this year ad we had roughly 20 people and only like 2 of them had ever even picked up a stick but we ll practiced hard and w ended up being pretty good and we went something like 7-2 or 7-3or something like that, if you wanna play practice hard and dont give up because it IS hard at first, this was my first year and i had never played before and im pretty good now so give it a shot.

What are the best websites to get free goalkeeping drills for high school students?

Im a goalkeeping coach and need more drills that will work on reaction, diving, crosses and high balls, footwork, distribution and communication

Basketball dribbling

To dominate the Court, you need practice your ball handling skills. There are many available exercises that you can find on the internet free of charge. what you really need to do, is to find the ball handling exercises that are most effective.

Many players have spent hours a day working on the drop drop and ball handling. These players have significantly improved their hard work, but if they had the knowledge to do the exercises right for the right amount of time that they could have understood the same results with just a few minutes a day. With the right program, you can go cut in high school to a starter at the college level in a short period of time. I saw this fact using a program of dribble week 20 progressive basketball.

Some things to keep in mind when training is to always work both hands everything also. A player who cannot handle the ball with both hands exposes its weakness in early games and the Defender has a real advantage on him. Always follow your head and see the entire floor. use only at your fingertips, do not leave your palms touching basketball all to drop by drop.

Once you learn to dribble the ball well with both hands and with your head until then it is time to work on some of the movements of basketball basic that you will get a way open for the hoop or the open shot wide you are looking for. Drop by drop and the ball handling is one of the skills more valued by the coaches at all levels. Smart hard and work work and your goals.
