I bough 4X8 sheets of Plastex, I don't want to redo the drywall, ugh, can I put something on it to waterproof it before glueing on the Plastex?
It's sort of sem-thick but floppy white plastic sheets.
How best to cut this stuff?
I bought liquid nails tub surround glue, to I trowel that on?
Thank-you
You really need green board and it would probably be cheaper to replace the drywall than to use KIELTS sealant.
Ok, I have a 9 year Pitty/Lab mix that has managed to break 2 ropes in two weeks. Her issue used to be pulling the stake out of the ground until I got one of those really long, straight stakes with the trowel-like blade at the bottom. that was 3 years ago and she hasn't had a problem until recently.
The first rope wasn't that great but the second was plastic-coated cable that our friend used to use for his Mastiff. Maybe it was damaged or weak? We have a fence but Pitties are escape artists and a fence it just a joke to them. she can jump a 6 foot fence in one try!
She is an INDOOR dog but loves to spend a few HOURS per day outside in the sun. It gives her a break from the cat who lives to torment her by sneaking up behind her and whacking her tail.
PLEASE: do not respond is you are gonna be negative and make comments about not tying dogs out!
She is a truly beloved member of our family who is spoiled on a regular basis and has a wonderful temperament (except with squirrels) and loves her outdoor-time. she even barks at the door when she wants to go out. she has "outside toys" that she plays with as well.
You could get a heavier chain and risk neck injury from the strain the weight causes. Seriously, if your dog is snapping a cable tie-out it's time to build a kennel or fence your yard.
Um, get a fence. There's no reason she needs to be tied down if she's only "out there for a few hours" which I don't believe. It's called: SUPERVISION.
New Mexico just passed a law saying it is illegal to stake or tie out a dog.
Most of the dogs here that were staked were pits & staking or tieing them out in the yard just makes most of their issue much worse. Training is far more effective & you will have a dog you can trust.
There are a lot of pits here due to the influx of Mexicans from Mexico. they, the law, break up fighting rings right & left here. It is all over the state. I think it is so funny to see a little man being pulled down the street by a pit bull on a logging chain.
If your dog is pulling out the stake, it could risk damage to his neck if you try sturdier chains. I would instead work on training him to stay inside his fenced-in yard. If he's escaping from the fenced-in area, he may be bored. You probably shouldn't put him out unless he is supervised, and when he tries to escape you can startle him by shaking a can of coins or calling his name so that he turns his attention to you and stops trying to escape. once this happens, you can praise him and give him a treat. Taking him on long walks once a day will satisfy his need to be outside as well. If you take him out for a long walk once or twice a day and then supervise him for maybe another hour, he won't need to be outside for multiple hours a day.
You can also think about getting a kennel with a roof so he can't jump over it. But really I think the main issue is him being bored if he's trying so hard to escape.
