How do I carry my camera on a canoeing/camping trip?

My husband and I are going on a canoeing/camping trip in April. I am worried about several things when it comes to the safety of my camera and so I am looking for suggestions on a bag. we will be canoeing in rapids and I am worried about the water. I love my camera and it is also what I do for a living so I cannot afford to have it ruined. Also, general bumpiness of the canoe, and carrying it while hiking and stuff while also carrying my backpack. Any suggestions on how to keep my camera safe from all of these elements or a good bag to look at? I have been looking at Kata or National Geographic but I want to know that I am getting the best most versatile bag for my buck.

this maybe a good choice if you're taking pictures on the canoe. bhphotovideo.com/c/product/54… These are great also and come in different sizes. You can fit your camera along with your other equipment. amazon.com/National-Geographi…

Look for a suitable "pelicase" for transport, if you want to use your camera on the rapids, then look for "ewa-marine".

I use an old Minolta Z1 for trips that can lose gear. It has never let me down, in the desert and the cold mountains.
For 35mm I take a Nikon FM (tough as old boots) and old lenses.
All the top stuff stays at home. It's safer that way.
Tied to the rocks with climbing ropes…two for safety to two massive boulders thirty yards behind me…OK I'm Andromeda….for pics of some violent seas near home, I took an old Ilford Sportsman compact that cost a couple of bucks in a charity shop.

And two more. All tied onto me. with two cords each. one got swept away by a rogue wave that came the wrong way. Strong cords no use. Camera lug came off. Case fell to bits. Two cords attached and still lost the camera.
Hell of a hit that one.
Two cameras had shots in them when I got home. I didn't get home empty handed.
One of those old Ilford's from the 60's has won me nine local photo club competitions.
Deliberate entries to have a laugh with the Nikon and Canon snobs. I've got plenty of both but I don't care what name is on a camera.
If it works, it works.
Just in case you find it useful…..think safe, always. But the safest place for good cameras is at home.
And old doesn't mean bad.
Z1…there are others like it from Olympus, Fuji, Panasonic Lumix(Yummy), Nikon, Samsung etc. You can pick one up in good condition and working well for $50 or so second hand.

My Coleman Viper tent came with a bag that beats any keep-it-dry bag I've bought. Brilliant. I use the bag on some trips and take a tiny Coleman Raid tent with me…weighs less than 2 lbs.
