Hi, i know it's been asked before but,

I have a ATI Radeon Pro 9600XT that's what my CCC says.

Basically I want to use my computer as my setup for my arcade in a way. I have mame on here and for those who think that's illiegal it's not a law is passed about older games..anyways
I'm sure it's as basic as setting my monitor1 as tv or detect tv but what is the refresh rate of a tv? i have a trinitron 27" tube Tv to use with it. If you know a site it would be great. I am posting the question instead of researching cuz i'm going to bed and will check in the morning. first one to get it right gets best answer. Thanks all for anyone who answers.

What is this PCMCIA TV tuner video capture MPEG card, Could this enhance the quality of the video output to TV?

I have an acer extensa 5620, I connect it to television, but the quality of video is not so good, if I buy this PCMCIA TV tuner video capture MPEG card, could this enhance the video quality of the television, as well as my laptop?

If I understand the question correctly, no. a TV tuner card is for connecting either an antenna or cable to your computer so you can watch broadcast or cable TV. Video capture means that the card can also record anything coming in through the tuner card, provided you have the software to finish the capture and encoding process. MPEG is the format that the capture card will encode, which is the format used for DVDs.

It pretty much lets you watch and record TV on your computer.

I need a USB tv tuner card. Where can I get one?

I need a USB TV tuner card that I can just plug in and be able to plug in my cable and watch TV on my windows Vista Media Center. Is there any out there that I can buy?

amazon (search)

amazon.com/Diamond-XtremeTV-P…

There are many out there.
Here is a site for reference;
newegg.com/Product/ProductLis…

good place to start would be walmart since your probably gonna be there anyway. or best buy

geeks.com have several of them, just make sure you'll still be able to use it after the transition to all-digital in feb-09. most cable users won't notice it anyway, but you'd better check.

tvstick.co.uk

or even try maplin (sorry but that shop bores me but you can look on their website) maplin.co.uk

best buy , get an ATI USB

What would a good TV Tuner Card be to get?

I have an HP Pavilion dv9500 Notebook PC, and I am interested in finding a TV tuner card for it. I have an Xbox 360 hooked up to a 56" Samsung LCD in our living room to use as a Media Center Extender.

As another answerer suggested Hauppauge makes some nice alternatives. they have been around a few years. when I installed my first web cam in 1996 it was a kit put together by USR with a Hauppauge PCI card in it.

A company I avoid in this realm is Pinnacle Systems. Pinnacle Systems often ends support for the products on the next release of Windows. they prefer to sell you a new card, instead of creating new drivers for their existing products.

Any current Hauppauge
