A Sandy Bridge-E CPU and X79 motherboard combo for early adopters could be arriving sooner than expected. Intel's recent spate of difficulties with the Sandy Bridge-E platform might lead some to speculate a delay of its launch date, but Donanim Haber firmly asserts that the top-end Intel lineup will be released on November 15, 2011.
The Sandy Bridge-E series consists of the following: Core i7 3820($294), Core i7 3930K($583) and the flagship Core i7 3960X($999). the latter is reported to be faster than the Core i7 990X by 15%. the 3960X also makes use of the X79's quad-channel memory feature, which should allow it to perform very well with applications that rely heavily on memory bandwidth. on the AMD front, its own desktop Bulldozer counterpart might not be available for at least a few months.

My mother board not responding to C MOS date & time change, battery is okay, XP home edition installation okay, please find solution to repair or replace suitable desktoptop mother board
Pentium 4's used 3 different socket types…socket 423, socket 478 and socket 775. none of the different socket types are compatible with each other, so before you buy a replacement motherboard you'll need to find out which socket type your processor uses. also, if the new motherboard is not the same as the old board you'll need to re-install your operating system (XP) since a different board will have a different BIOS which won't be recognized by an existing operating system. It would be best to replace it with the exact same motherboard, the make and model of your motherboard will be printed on the board.
Try eBay or another online reseller. in a system as old as yours I would normally recommend that if the cost of the repair or upgrade exceeds 1/3 the price of a new system, it would be more cost effective to purchase a new system.

Do you know any motherboard that has: Socket 462, AGP, SATA, DDR400, is compatible with AMD Athlon, and is not mini or micro size.
Please help me. First true answer gets best answer.
