How can you set it to delay a shot for like 12 seconds. Like where do you go on the camera to do it. Im taking a picture of my self (not or myspace or facebook don't worry) and i don't want my arm to be in the way.

There should be a setting (self-timer, it is called) to do this.

Press the "remote control / self-timer / drive" button. Then use the control dial to set either 12 second, or 2 second. the button is on the right side of the LCD screen.

You have to use the control dial to set the self timer. the options are 2 seconds and 12 seconds. if you don't know how to do this, see the manual on page 63 and 64. I've attached a link to the manual below.
press display menu. > select 2nd folder (opposite custom reset)
use D pad to move across to flash mode, and down 2 steps to clock timer. selct option 2s or 12s (menu also controls hight speed shooting)
