a new Mac gives you the option to run other operating systems, including Windows XP and the new Vista. All it takes is a licensed copy of the alternate OS and software like Parallels Desktop for Mac.

It means you can operate Windows AND Mac OS. With a regular PC you can only operate Windows. the old Macs could only run OS. Now you can run both on one computer and enjoy the benefits of both worlds.
What does it mean? that Mac's rule, that's what. but probably the best thing to do, is buy parallel software so that you can run windows alongside OS X and use all sorts of software at the same time. Pretty freakin sweet.
It just means that you can run both MAC programs and Windows based programs with one computer. We all know that there is tons and tons of programs that can only run on the ever so populated problem based computers that are known as PC's or windows based computers. So instead of using a windows based computer just get parallels for your MAC run just the software you need on the windows side and do everything else on the MAC side…much safer and easier.
