We recently bought a small 25 acre farm. the terrain is mostly flat with no major issues like rocks or dangerous slopes. the guy that I called about shredding the land wants $600 to do it one time. that price prompted us to think about buying our own tractor instead.
I found a used, 2-year-old Yanmar 2500, 2 x 4, 3 cylinder deisel tractor. it comes with a 5 foot shredder and also a front end loader. He wants $8000. He wants to upgrade to a 4 X 4.
My question is: is this tractor big enough to handle our 25 acres? or should I look for a 4 X 4? What does 2 X 4 and 4 X 4 mean?
